The Stream Life: Week 17

We made it to week 17 in the NFL season. The Stream Life wants to thank all the fantasy football fans who have checked in on this article throughout the year. It has been a pleasure researching candidates for Stream Life success. The Stream Life suggested 2 QB’S in the top 8 last week, the #3 TE, and the 3rd best defense. There were a few clunkers too, but that’s how the cookie crumbles. Here are some winners for you this week:

QB: Josh Allen: Dolphins at Bills
Now that the Miami Dolphins have given up on the season this is a perfect Stream Life QB candidate for success. In what will be Josh Allen’s last game as a rookie QB he still has a lot of motivation to succeed this week. Allen has been a tremendous dual-threat QB that leads to extra cheap fantasy points. With this game being in Buffalo the Miami Dolphins will have 0 interest in showing up for this game. Start the Bills players with confidence this week as this could get ugly.

QB: Nick Foles: Eagles at Redskins
Here’s another Stream Life candidate that fits the mold to a T. Nick Foles threw for over 400 passing yards and 4 TD passes last week against the Houston Texans. This week, he faces a Washington Redskins defense that has played hard these last few weeks. The Redskins would love to keep the Philadelphia Eagles from making the playoffs so we have no doubt they will be up for this game. The problem for Washington is the Nick Foles magic. Stream Nick Foles will medium expectations and hope he succeeds.

TE: Mo Ali-Cox: Colts at Titans
With Eric Ebron getting injured last week it’s worth checking his status for this win or go home game in week 17. Mo Ali-Cox might be a name to keep an eye on as we’re unsure how healthy Ebron will be for this contest. In what should be a lower scoring game, we can hope Andrew Luck looks for Ali-Cox in the red zone or 3-5 catches throughout the game. The Tennessee Titans have been one of the best teams against the TE this year, but that won’t stop Luck from trying.

TE: Vance McDonald: Bengals at Steelers
In a must-win game for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Vance McDonald could make for another decent play this week. In his first outing against the Cincinnati Bengals, McDonald went for 68 yards on 7 catches. Let’s hope this week he catches a TD as he only has 1 over his last 5 games. The Bengals defense just gave up 2 TD’S to Cleveland Browns TE’S.

Kicker: Matt Bryant: Falcons at Buccaneers
The Atlanta Falcons have been eliminated from the playoffs for a few weeks, but you wouldn’t have guessed that based on their performances of late. The Buccaneers defense is vulnerable to big plays which could have Matt Bryant set up for a big day. The Stream Life will take advantage of guys playing in nice weather conditions as should be the case in Tampa Bay.

Kicker: Mike Badgley: Chargers at Broncos
The Los Angeles Chargers have everything to play for and will be in mile high. This is a nice opportunity for Mike Badgley to have multiple chances at 50+ yard field goals. Badgley has only attempted 1 FG over the last 2 weeks so it can only get higher from here, right?

Team D/ST: Bills vs Dolphins
As we mentioned above, the Miami Dolphins will have absolutely no interest in traveling up to Buffalo for this game. When there’s no motivation, that’s when The Stream Life capitalizes on their opponent. The Dolphins threw a pick-6 last week and there’s a good possibility that could happen again here. The Bills have only sacked their opposing QB 1 time in the last 3 weeks. In that same span, the Dolphins have allowed 17 sacks! Something will have to give here in this match-up and we will take our chances with the Bills D/ST.

Team D/ST: Texans vs Jaguars
Even though the Jacksonville Jaguars won their game last week, that’s still not enough for us to believe they want to play this week 17 game. The Jaguars D/ST will probably give some effort, but that Jaguars offense is a mess. The Houston Texans D/ST will take full advantage of this match-up. The Texans have everything still to play for and will look to bounce back after just allowing the Eagles to score 32 points. Whether it’s Blake Bortles or Cody Kessler at QB, we can expect turnovers from that offense.

Thanks for checking in on The Stream Life for the final time this season. With apologies for it being so short this week, the Gurus are enjoying time with family & friends. We hope you have a Happy Holiday’s and look forward to bringing you Stream Lifers again next year. Twitter is @bferrer
