The Stream Life: Week 12
For most fantasy football leagues there are only 2 weeks left in the regular season. For all NFL and fantasy football fans, we get to enjoy 3 NFL games on Thanksgiving Day. The Stream Life is looking to bounce back after last week all 3 QB suggestions finished outside the top 12, both teams D/ST were awful, but 1 TE was in top 10, and 1 kicker tied for top 3. Hopefully, nobody on The Stream Life leaves with injury this week. While you’re stuffing your face during the holiday, consider stuffing these players in your line-up for week 12.
QB: Jameis Winston: Buccaneers vs 49ers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going back to Jameis Winston this week. The question with Buccaneers QB’S this year seems to be, will the starter finish the game? All kidding aside, Winston is a sneaky good Stream Life candidate this weekend. Dare we suggest, over Aaron Rodgers? The pass-happy Buccaneers face a 49ers team that has allowed 3 TD passes in 4 separate games this year. That’s including 3 to the New York Giants in week 10. The 49ers haven’t allowed 300 passing yards since week 6. Tampa Bay has played in a lot of games that went over the point total and this week could be another high scoring one.
QB: Lamar Jackson: Ravens vs Raiders
Here’s another repeat visitor to The Stream Life. Lamar Jackson ran for over 100 yards, didn’t score a TD, and finished as QB 15. While the 100 yards might not happen again, it’s unlikely the QB stays out of the end zone again this week. In 3 of the last 4 weeks, the Oakland Raiders have given up 3 passing TD’S. This could be the week Jackson passes and rushes for a TD. Include all the rushing yards as a bonus and Jackson is an obvious Stream Life candidate that is worth the gamble this week.
TE: Vance McDonald: Steelers at Broncos
The tight end position should become extinct in fantasy football. Make the position a flex with a WR and fantasy football owners would be much happier. The lack-luster tight end position where we stream players we hope will catch a touchdown land on Vance McDonald of the Pittsburgh Steelers. After back-to-back weeks with a touchdown and a Denver Broncos defense that has allowed a TE to catch a TD in 3 straight weeks, The Stream Life views McDonald as a decent option this week.
TE: Jonnu Smith: Titans at Texans
Here’s a Stream Life option for those of you that need a reason to watch Monday Night Football. Jonnu Smith of the Tennessee Titans has now scored double-digit fantasy points in 3 straight weeks. (PPR). Smith has caught 2 TD’S over the last 3 weeks. The Houston Texans have allowed TD’S in back-to-back games to opposing TE’S. In those same 2 games, TE’S have combined for at least 70 receiving yards. While Smith has more bust potential than McDonald, he also has a higher ceiling this week. Proceed with caution, but enjoy the rewards if streamed.
Team D/ST: Bills vs Jaguars
The Stream Live absolutely loves this play this week. The Buffalo Bills D/ST is a super good sneaky option against the reeling Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s very possible the Jaguars have packed their bags for vacation after their devastating loss to the Steelers last week. Now Jacksonville has to travel to Buffalo and take on a Bills team that has allowed over 20 points only 2 times in their last 6 games. The Bills have 3 interceptions over their last 2 games. The Jaguars just gave up 6 sacks to the Steelers. Stream with excitement in what should be a low scoring game.
Team D/ST: Patriots at Jets
The Stream Life is rolling the dice with this one. The New England Patriots are coming off their BYE week and after their last game, which was a beat down from the Titans, The Stream Life feels bad for the pounding the Jets could take this weekend. The point spread is 9, so Vegas expects New England to bounce back. While the Patriots defense has been anything but stellar, the Jets offense has been a turnover machine. With 9 interceptions in their last 4 games and 7 sacks allowed over their last 2, the Patriots will be searching for their 1st INT since week 8. The schemes New England has put together this week gives me some confidence in the Patriots D/ST.
Kicker: Robbie Gould: 49ers at Buccaneers
As mentioned above this game could be high scoring. Robbie Gould has scored double-digit fantasy points for 2 straight games and made 5 FG’S during that span. While Tampa Bay has allowed a ton of extra points, they still have given up double-digit fantasy points to opposing kickers in back-to-back weeks. Gould has only missed 1 FG on the season and is 7-7 on FG’S over his last 3 games.
Kicker: Jason Meyers: Jets vs Patriots
Surprisingly, Jason Meyers is top 5 in fantasy kicking this season. Meyers is only 21% owned in ESPN leagues and has been consistently scoring at least 5 fantasy points per game. This play is more against the Patriots. They are known for a bend but don’t break defense and that’s perfect for opposing fantasy kickers. The Jets will have a hard time putting the ball in the end zone this week and that could result in a bid day for Meyers. There are better plays out there this week, but for a cheap option in daily leagues, Meyers is worth a Stream Life consideration.
As always, thanks for visiting The Stream Life this week. Everyone here at The Fantasy Football Gurus wishes you a Happy Thanksgiving! Good luck to all in fantasy unless you’re going against me.
