IDP Corner: Week 1 Thursday
This game is the reason for this and the forthcoming Saturday article. You should not need us or anyone else to tell you to play Luke Kuechly. He is elite level, or at least to us Gurus, and should be a starter every week that he is expected to play.
Tonight’s game between Denver and Carolina has some interesting storylines, it’s the rematch of the Super Bowl, for one. We have an untested QB in Trevor Siemian. And we have what should be a Carolina team with a chip on their shoulder.
As we head into the game, you should know who to start here: Luke Kuechly, Brandon Marshall, Thomas Davis, and maybe Kurt Coleman (depending on your league’s scoring, the depth of your league, and your need for a defensive back). Even deeper plays are T.J. Ward and Von Miller.
There are a couple players who you should keep an eye on in this game, for Carolina: James Bradberry and Tre Boston, the secondary has plenty of opportunity with the front 7 sacring any offensive coordinator away from run plays.
Over on the Denver side of the ball it is a slightly different story, Demarcus Ware is worthy of some attention, and Dekoda Watson should be on your deep watch radar. Just do not expect a great deal of points from either immediately this week.
