IDP Corner: TNF Week 12

Are you ready for some TURKEY NIGHT FOOTBALL?!!!!
Well I, for one, am. As I mentioned on Saturday, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and this year in particular has been great, I’m very thankful for wonderful friends and family, as well as you all who read these posts, it is an honor to be able to share my thoughts with you on a weekly basis.

Before we dive into things a big point I want to drive home this week is: don’t overpay for the stats produced by Charger players from the Bills game last week.

With three games today we have a large number of players who are likely owned or starters in your league: Zach Brown, D.J. Swearinger, Josh Norman, Landon Collins, Jason Pierre-Paul (in DL position leagues), Tre Boston, Joey Bosa (in DL leagues), Jahleel Addae, Eric Kendricks, Harrison Smith, Everson Griffen, Tahir Whitehead, Jarrad Davis, Darius Slay, Glover Quin, Tavon Wilson, Byron Jones, Demarcus Lawrence (DL leagues), David Irving (DL leagues), Sean Lee (injured), Jaylon Smith, Anthony Hitchens, and Jeff Heath.

Now for the main course:

Defensive Linemen:
Anthony Zettel: Having already provided a season of noteworthy games, Zettel is a player who is on the cusp of being roster worthy, and his best game of the season so far was against the Vikings. Detroit has had a good secondary most of the season which should cause Keenum hang on to the ball a little bit longer allowing defensive linemen to have a chance to get to him. So, I have a feeling Zettel could have another peak week.

Calvin Munson: Don’t be concerned with his absence from practice Tuesday, he’s been nursing a quad issue for a number of weeks. The more important absence was B.J. Goodson, who Munson will continue playing for. This won’t continue too long, but Munson is good for at least one more week of production.

Defensive Backs:
Adrian Phillips: If you didn’t catch the write up I did this past Saturday on Phillips, the same rules apply. In short, he’s been getting more snaps and has been splitting them between Linebacker and Safety. Given the Cowboys passing game this past week, I expect the continued push to the running game, which should help Phillips stay afloat in relevance this week.

Andrew Adams: On a decent roll since the Giants’ bye week, Adams should continue production due to a struggling G-men offense and a good Washington defense. Especially with the linebackers banged up it would be smart of Washington to attack up the middle which would lead to more Adams tackles.

Orlando Scandrick: Against high pass offenses Scandrick has produced this season and the Chargers are right on the cusp of such a description of their offense. If you are in need of a one week filler, look no further.

Xavier Woods: On the chance that Jeff Heath does not start, Woods would be a good guy to start as he had a nice 4 solo tackle game when he did as such last week. Woods has produced moderate floor numbers all season, but I think he could really get going against the Chargers. In a dynasty format he’s worth putting on your roster for the long term anyway.

Good luck to everyone on your Thanksgiving endeavors. And as always if you have questions feel free to reach out via twitter to me @decoylife or the other gurus @TFFGurus, @DaFantasyFather, and @TheFantasyBoys.
