DraftKings DFS Tips for week 6
By Doug Eddy
Hello all and welcome to week 6 of the NFL! Are you already 1-4 or 0-5? Did you draft Dez, Jordy Nelson, Jamaal Charles etc and are already at your wits end? Daily fantasy is for you! No worries about hurt players or a terrible draft here. Pick your team and keep it under $50,000 and enter it into weekly contests to earn real money! I will be writing this column weekly with my suggestions for DraftKings lineups and cash game strategies. I will cover three options at each position who I think will break out and not have a high ownership percentage which means you have a better chance to win!
Sam Bradford VS. NYG $6000
Two weeks in a row for Sam in this column. Another solid week warrants it. The Eagles are on to face the Giants this week and it appears their best corner Prince Amukamara will be out. The Giants secondary has been dicey and Bradford is set to take advantage. He looks more and more comfortable in the offense and I have this one turning into a bit of a shootout. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 300 plus yards and three scores.
Andy Dalton VS. BUF. $5700
The red rifle continues to look like an MVP candidate and is still cheap in DFS. Teams facing Buffalo throw the ball over 79% of the time. I do expect the Bengals to start to run more but it won’t be this week. Keep riding the hot hand, especially at that price.
Matthew Stafford VS. CHI. $5300
That is not a misprint. Matthew Stafford, benched in the second half actually offers some nice value vs. Chicago. It’s a make or break week for the Lions and the Bears are a great remedy for anyone’s woes! Look for Megatron to finally break out as well.
Eddie Lacy VS. SD. $6300
Captain slow start has me worried again but just like last year I think this is the week he turns it on. At home vs. The 30th ranked run defense is what I’m talking about! If Lacy struggles again I’ll start to be concerned ROS. Fingers crossed.
Lamar Miller VS. TENN. $4300
Another bounce back candidate. Mr. Personality is no longer the head coach of the Dolphins and I bet Dan Campbell wants to pound the rock and mix it up more. Miller is talented. Over 5 ypc last year and finished as the ninth overall RB. Time to get him the ball starts now!
Legarette Blount VS. IND. $4400
I think we all know the Pats are gonna score this week. In droves. I’m putting my money on Blount for sheer TD reliability. I think he has three scores and some decent yardage. The Colts never stop the run vs. the Pats so why shy away from that game plan?
Brandon Marshall VS. WAS. $7100
Marshall has a chance to finish week 6 as the number one overall wideout. Was. Secondary is very banged up and running against them usually doesn’t lead to much success so look for Marshall to be a high volume target this week especially in the red zone.
John Brown VS. PITT. $5200
I love me some John Brown. Slowly but surely the big plays are coming and he has great rapport with Carson Palmer. He will stretch the field against a weak Pitt. Secondary this week and provide you with over 100yds and a score.
Anquan Boldin VS. BAL. $4300
Do we see a pattern here? Yet another WR with an outstanding matchup. Baltimore can’t stop anyone and Kaepernick only has one reliable receiver and that’s the crafty veteran Boldin.
Rob Gronkowski VS. IND. $7600
Gronk vs. Indy as the Gronk you tour continues. Who does he throw out of the club on Sunday night? Two scores and big yardage. Gronk Spikes for everyone.
Tyler Eifert VS. BUFF. $4900
Eifert has become quite the focal point of the Bengals red zone packages. Gut call here for Eifert to score twice.
Jordan Cameron VS. TENN. $3000
Another gut call. The Dolphins offense transforms not only with Miller but Cameron too. Dan Campbell is a former TE and coach so I can see him getting Cameron involved. Tannehill has targets WRs at an unhealthy rate. Here is how you fix it.
Broncos VS. CLE. $3700
#1 fantasy defense keeps it up this week. It seems like they score somehow every week! Sacks, fumbles, TDs. They do it all.
Jets VS. WAS. $3100
Kirk Cousins likes to throw picks. The Jets secondary is the best he’s faced so far and they also get Richardson back to stuff the run. Win, win.
Minnesota VS. KC $2900
No Charles, a struggling line and an under achieving quarterback is a nice mix for a young, rested and aggressive defense!
