3 Player To Drop: Week 15 Playoff Edition
Week 14 will be dubbed “Touchdown Vulture Week” a brutal combo of fantasy studs laying duds and backup running backs scoring at will. We hope you overcame those matchups and prevailed! Here are 3 players to drop who won’t have any impact for your squad in the fantasy playoffs. Make sure you read Top Guru Josh Trotta’s (@trotta23) (@tffgurus) weekly waiver article and get the knowledge on who to pick up as we head into week 15!
1. Jordan Reed TE, Washington Redskins (86% owned Yahoo!)
Wow, Jordan Reed almost made it a full season. The talented TE has had a sub-par season even though he has stayed healthy throughout. The injury bug has come back and Jordan Reed did not finish the game and the rest of his season is in jeopardy. With Josh Johnson starting at QB and the Redskins already in a lost-cause season, look for them to place Reed on IR Wednesday. Drop him before this happens and pick up a TE with value.
2. Sammy Watkins WR, Kansas City Chiefs (72% owned Yahoo!)
Sammy Watkins = Foot injury. This is nothing new for this wide receiver. Foot injuries have plagued him since his days at Clemson. Reports surfaced before week 14 that is a timetable to return is 4-6 weeks keeping him out of lineups for the rest of the fantasy season. The Chiefs hope to have him back for their playoff run but that doesn’t help us now. Sammy Watkins is safe to drop.
3. Doug Baldwin WR, Seattle Seahawks (81% owned Yahoo!)
Doug Baldwin entered the season on the injury report and hasn’t left. Now a hip injury kept him inactive for week 14. Tyler Lockett also looks to be Russell Wilson’s new favorite target. When healthy Baldwin has failed to record over 40 yards in his last 3 games played. His target shares have plummeted losing his value in PPR leagues as well. Drop Doug Baldwin now.
That does it for this weeks edition of 3 Players To Drop. Good luck in Week 15! You can find me on Twitter @drod4htown and the rest of us @tffgurus on twitter. You can also visit our website www.tffgurus.com for all your fantasy advice!
