IDP Corner: TNF Week 13
Back to back Thursday games for both teams, Minnesota needs a win to stay relevant in the NFC North, while Dallas is holding off the 8-3 Giants. Strong running play supported by intermittent air strikes will be the order of the day on either side here, so load up your linebackers and hope the secondaries can keep up.
Neither team has anyone that I would consider hot at the moment and given how often these teams are breaking into the secondary on their runs, I expect D line play to be fairly quiet.
Barry Church – Returning just in time to replace J.J. Wilcox, who is out this week. Byron Jones has been the workhorse of late, but I can see both safeties crashing the line on run plays.
Trae Waynes – While Xavier Rhodes has been emerging as a lockdown corner, Waynes has had to deal with the consequences of the receivers he covers seeing the ball a little more often, this has resulted with Wayes having more tackles and passes defended in the past 4 weeks. Harrison Smith will still be making plenty of tackles on both run and pass plays, but look for Waynes to continue to get tested, and as a result to see more tackles than Rhodes.
Anthony Barr – His totals over the past three weeks have been on the rise, seemingly getting as much work as Chad Greenway, and at a lower cost to acquire for us owners. Eric Kendricks shows signs that he is still on the mend from a hip injury last week, so we could see one more week of a relevant Barr before Kendricks steps back into the limelight.
Damien Wilson – Currently it looks like Justin Durant will still be out for tonight’s game, and Wilson out tackled starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens last week. Sean Lee had a great week last week but is coming up Questionable currently so even if it is likely that he’ll play, watch out for Wilson to potentially repeat last week’s numbers.
Good luck to everyone on your Thursday endeavors, and as always if you have questions feel free to reach out via twitter to me @decoylife or the other gurus @TFFGurus, @DaFantasyFather, and @TheFantasyBoys.
