IDP Corner: TNF Week 12

We switch from Thursday Night Football to Thanksgiving Night Football this week, which features not one, not two, not three, not four, no wait… yes three, three games!

In all seriousness, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and I hope all of you are able to enjoy the day.

Oh, and may the day be free of heated political discussions that ends with your Uncle and your Cousin not talking for the foreseeable future.

Linebackers:

Antwione Williams – He grabbed more tackles than Tahir Whitehead last week, which is likely to be a fluke, but Minnesota will run harder than Jacksonville did. I don’t expect gangbusters for totals here, but definitely should be a productive day for Williams.

Defensive Backs:

T.J. Green – Will be starting in place of Clayton Geathers who is out this week due to a concussion. Mike Adams and Rashaan Melvin should also see plenty of work against Big Ben, but Green has the biggest chance to make a jump in point scoring, Melvin and Adams should be potentially slightly more active than normal comparatively, scoring wise.

J.J. Wilcox – Cousins has been a good QB of late, but Washington tends to give up points to Safeties rather than Cornerbacks, Byron Jones should already be owned in your league (go get him if not), so Wilcox may not be the best person to note, but he can collect passes defended. The Dallas O-line will play well enough to make Washington pass more than they normally do this week in an attempt to keep up, so Wilcox could be a sneaky streaming play if you need some quick help in a DB slot.

Donte Whitner – He’s been a tackling machine of late. Also to note is how often a run for Dallas makes it to the second level, safeties that play Dallas tend to see more tackles… enter Whitner.

Xavier Rhodes – Still owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues, which is still low in my opinion. Stafford will look to pass just as much as Carson Palmer, Rhodes grabbed 7 total tackles last time he saw Detroit 3 weeks ago. I don’t expect him to produce the points that he totaled last week, but look for Rhodes to put up as much as his last time seeing the Lions.

Linemen:

David Perry – He’s collected a sack per game in the past two games, and a couple tackles. Perry is on the cusp of someone I would normally point out (for a DL player) but, Roethlisberger always seems to find a way to get hit with contact and I think Perry or Edwin Jackson (LB, 15 total tackles, 2 sacks in the last 3 games) are the two most likely to help him with that.

Stephon Tuitt – Dallas has one of the best offensive lines in the league, Cleveland does not, nor does Indiana. Tuitt had 2.5 sacks on Cleveland, 1 on Dallas, I think Tuitt has a chance at some points in Indy, especially with Luck on the sidelines this week.

Linval Joseph – He continues to put up solid tackle numbers.

Enjoy the holiday, and good luck in your fantasy matchups!
